Former movie producer and former KDKA Radio Morning Show movie critic, John Mowod, is accused of stabbing his wife in South Fayette Township.
The incident happened Wednesday night in a home on Forest Ridge Drive.
According to an affidavit, Mowod's son told South Fayette Police he heard his mother screaming from inside her bedroom.
When he forced his way in, he saw the 58-year-old Mowod over the victim, holding a knife.
The son took the knife off of his father who had already stabbed the victim twice. She was transported to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Officers observed a large amount of blood on the bed.
Mowod was taken into custody with dried blood on his arms and legs.
He is charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
Mowod was involved in the 2009 movie "Amazing Racer" as a producer, writer and actor.
He's also appeared in other films and appeared on The KDKA Morning Show for years reviewing upcoming movies.
Mowod was arraigned Thursday morning and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 28.
