A restaurant in Jefferson Hills is closing its doors after nearly 70 years in business.
The Blue Flame will close for good on Sunday, March 24 after 68 years.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the people that have been so important to us over the years,” the owners wrote in a Facebook post.
The Blue Flame was opened in 1956 by founder Les George Sr.
“While we are saddened about the closing of the family business, we have immense gratitude for the wonderful journey of the past 68 years and the community of customers, employees, and friends we have had the pleasure of knowing. We will miss you," the post reads.
The Blue Flame is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day through Sunday, when they close for good.
They offer a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, along with ice cream, during business hours.
A reason for the closure was not given.
