Think of a gallon pitcher of water. Now think of 11 pitchers of water.

That's at least how much Penn American Water is asking customers to reduce their daily usage due to the drought conditions in the area.

Penn American says it has an adequate water supply now, but wants to avoid higher conservation if the situation doesn't improve.

Penn American water serves a large part of south and western Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties.

It also services parts of Beaver, Lawrence, Butler and Fayette Counties.

AccuWeather tells KDKA Radio a quarter to a third of an inch could come through on Sunday. That isn’t enough to elevate drought conditions.
