Officials at Kennywood say someone who was riding the Phantom's Revenge Wednesday night was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation after being struck by a loose cell phone.
It happened shortly after 9 p.m.
Kennywood is reminding guests that loose articles---including cell phones---are strictly prohibited on all attractions.
Kennywood is also celebrating the Fourth of July with FREE admission for military members and discounted tickets for friends and family members.

Bites and Pints Food & Drink Festival: The international food and drink festival has added an extra weekend. Bites and Pints will now run Friday, July 4 through Sunday, July 6. Featuring chef-inspired tastings of international cuisine, specialty cocktails, craft beer, and wine from eight countries, including the newest additions for 2025, Cuba and Spain.
Fireworks Shows: Presented by Zambelli Fireworks, Kennywood will host a spectacular firework display above the Lagoon at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5.
Jetpack Flying Water Circus: The popular jetpack show makes its grand return to Kennywood’s Garden Stage beginning on Friday, July 4. This electrifying show features world-class acrobats, daring jetpack stunts, and mesmerizing water performances daily through August 17.
Drone Shows: More than 300 drones take to the night sky above the Lagoon for nine straight nights July 11 through July 19. These drones will create more than a dozen one-of-a-kind Kennywood designs including classic rides, fan-favorite characters, tributes to the park’s historic past, and more beginning at 9:30 p.m. each night.
Extended Hours: To celebrate nine nights of Drone Shows, the park has extended its hours to remain open until 10 p.m. July 11 through July 19, plus Saturday, July 26.
