A loose dog on the Pennsylvania Turnpike has not been seen since Monday.

Turnpike officials reports a brown dog with an orange collar was seen on the westbound side of the road between Cranberry and Beaver Valley at milepost 22 Monday afternoon.

Turnpike maintenance crews cleared the area to search for the dog but were unable to find it.

A spokesperson for the Turnpike tells KDKA Radio they are not sure where the dog currently is.

“Not sure if it found its way back home or perhaps someone picked the dog up and did not notify us. (But let's hope so!),” Spokesperson Crispin Havener said.

If you see the dog on the Turnpike, you are asked to call *11 and tell the dispatcher near what mile marker you saw the dog.

If we learn about the dog’s current whereabouts, we’ll post an update.
