
Beginning today, the Mall at Robinson in implementing what they are calling a “youth escort policy.”

Anyone 18 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian 21 years or older beginning at 3 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The new policy is in effect for the entire mall expect for stores that have an exterior entrance like Macy’s Dick’s Sporting Goods and JC Penney.
Security will begin patrolling at 3 p.m. and anyone who cannot prove they are over 18, if asked and refused to leave the store will be considered trespassing and may be prosecuted.
Those accompanying youth under 18 must be with them at all times and are responsible for their actions.
Anyone under 18 who works at the mall will be able to be inside the mall without a parent or guardian, but proof of employment is required and they must leave the mall after their shift is over.
Management adds they can implement the policy on any other day or time they deem necessary.
This comes shortly after The Waterfront in Homestead instituted its own curfew policy in an effort to reduce issues with juveniles misbehaving.
