26-year-old Luigi Mangione is now facing a murder charge in New York after the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson last week in broad daylight.

Mangione was arrested at an Altoona McDonald’s Monday where police were told there was a customer matching his description.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro said during a news conference Monday evening that Mangione traveled all across Pennsylvania including in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, “making stops in between, obviously here, in Altoona.”

It’s believed Mangione spent some time in the Downtown Pittsburgh area before moving on.

“Part of that investigation will also focus on trying to retrace his steps,” said PA State Police Lieutenant Colonel George Bivens. “We’ve already identified businesses, for example, that he frequented in this area and activities that he engaged in, that led us to more evidence, and so all of that is becoming kind of a mountain of evidence that has to be analyzed and looked at.”

State Police is asking for the public’s help to find more information about Mangione and his travels across Pennsylvania. If you believe you saw him in the Pittsburgh area, you are asked to call 1-899-4PA-TIPS or you can submit a tip online HERE.

Mangione is also charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm, forgery and providing false identification to police.
