Allegheny County Police have filed charged against a West Virginia man after a flash-bang grenade was found in his back at Pittsburgh International Airport.

It happened Tuesday morning just after 9:30 at the airport’s main security checkpoint.

25-year-old Zachary Velling, of Morgantown had a live flash bang grenade in his bag and the Allegheny County Police Bomb Squad confirmed it was live.

The grenade was removed from the scene safely and the FBI was also notified.

Velling is facing a prohibitive offensive weapons charge and criminal attempt – carrying explosives on conveyances.

He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail for a preliminary arraignment.
