New Mexico man arrested with over 17 pounds of cocaine in Westmoreland Co.

Troopers arrested a New Mexico man this week after discovering more than 17 pounds of cocaine in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Westmoreland County.

Jose Jiminez was pulled over on I-76 in Hempfield Township for an alleged traffic violation.

A police dog detected drugs in the vehicle and troopers found a duffel bag packed with 8 kilograms of coke.

Jiminez was denied bail and is being detained at the Westmoreland County Prison.
