Man convicted of killing Uber driver to spend life in jail

Calvin Crew, the man found guilty of first-degree murder for killing an Uber driver in 2022 has been sentenced today to a mandatory term of life in prison.

The jury deliberated less than an hour before returning a guilty verdict in February.

Video evidence showed the man pressing a gun to the side of Christina Spicuzza's head as she approached his drop-off point.

Spicuzza was reported missing the next day after the robbery. The mother of four’s body was found off of Rosecrest Drive in Monroeville a day later.
