A 40-year-old Pittsburgh man died early this morning after a two-vehicle crash on the Boulevard of the Allies.
It happened near UPMC Mercy around 1:30 a.m. James Pendelton was a passenger in one of the cars.
He was pronounced dead 45 minutes later.
Four other people were taken to the nearby Mercy ER. There's no word on their injuries or conditions.
The inbound lanes of the Boulevard of the Allies were closed for more than two hours.
