Man faces homicide charges, accused of assaulting 1-month-old son

A Waynesburg man is charged with attempted homicide and involuntary sexual deviate intercourse.

Pennsylvania State Police say the victim is his one-month-old son.

Police say the infant had sustained multiple blunt force traumas as well sexual assault.

Investigators say 26-year-old Zachary Bryte confessed to physically and sexually assaulting the baby.

Bryte faces other related charges.

Bryte's hearing is scheduled for Wednesday at noon.
