A Westmoreland County man will spend decades behind bars for shooting at State Police last winter in East Huntingdon Township.
63-year-old James Miller has been sentenced to 22 to 44 years in state prison for firing shots at two troopers and a neighbor's house.
Last January, State Police called to a home on Cedar Drive for reported gunfire found Miller holding an assault rifle.
When he was ordered to drop it, Miller fired shots and troopers returned fire, hitting him in the chest.
Earlier this year, a jury found Miller guilty on 18 counts.
