Port Authority police are investigating a stabbing that occurred on a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus in Hazelwood earlier Tuesday afternoon.
Police say a passenger on a 56-Lincoln Place bus was stabbed multiple times shortly before noon near the intersection of Second and Flowers Avenues.
He was taken to UPMC Mercy hospital in critical condition.
The suspect, who fled on foot, was apprehended about a half hour later and was treated at a local hospital with minor injuries.
There were approximately a dozen other passengers on the bus, but none of them were injured.
