Man accused of stealing $100k from Little Sisters of the Poor

A former food services manager at Little Sisters of the Poor is accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of food over a two-year period.

Police say Vincent Jones, also known as Gary Jones, is accused of racking up more than $100,000 in fraudulent food purchases from 2023 to 2025.

They say the orders included large quantities of high-end steaks and seafood, including lobster and crab.

The criminal complaint says concerns surfaced when administrators reviewed invoices while Jones was on workers’ compensation leave.

A deeper audit revealed repeated high-dollar purchases, and police say surveillance video shows Jones loading multiple cases of food into his vehicle.

He was terminated in late July and is facing felony theft and stolen property charges.

The nonprofit says it will continue cooperating with law enforcement.
