A man was shot in the head late last night in Bloomfield.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. in the 5100 block of Cypress Street.
Officers say the man was alert and communicating with medics when he was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Detectives say the shooting apparently took place in the driveway of a nearby home and the victim knocked on a neighbor's door, asking for help.
Police recovered a gun at the scene.
