Police say officers found an unconscious man in Coffey Way near Sixth Avenue early Tuesday.
He was taken to a hospital for a suspected overdose, but detectives were called to the hospital the next day after tests founds metal shrapnel in his body, possibly from a BB gun.
He was pronounced dead Thursday morning, the same day police received video evidence of an assault with a BB gun on a man on Coffey Way.
The video, that police have requested not be released, shows a least three people shooting BBs toward the man’s head and other parts of his body.
Police say they've positively identified the people in the video.
