Pittsburgh police are investigating after a man was rescued from the frigid waters of Point State Park Wednesday afternoon.
They say the same man had brought a $30,000 harp with him that he left on the river bank. Police say the harp was stolen from a residence in Bethel Park and local police will be handling that investigation.
The harp was along the river bank when the man disrobed and jumped into the river.
He was rescued by Pittsburgh Police officers and DCNR Rangers with EMS River Rescue the Bureau of Fire assisting.
The rescued man was transported to a local hospital in stable condition for further evaluation.
DCNR Rangers will be pursuing charges of receiving stolen property.
Among the areas of their investigation, police are trying to figure out if the man owns the harp.
