Marc Fogel is back home.
Allegheny County police say the Butler native arrived at Pittsburgh International late Tuesday afternoon after his release from Russia in a prisoner exchange last week.
He was serving a 14-year sentence on a drug charge.
Local social media organization, the popular, oneBURGH posted a photo of Fogel walking inside the terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport on Tuesday, surrounded by police.
Fogel and his family are asking the media and public for privacy so they have the space to heal together.
Attorney Sasha Phillips said, in part: “He has been strongly advised to limit public exposure as he embarks on the slow and challenging process of healing from the harrowing trauma experienced by him and his loved ones.”
