UPDATE: Marty is back home and provided this update:
Big K Morning Show co-host Marty Griffin has always been open with his health and life.
On Sunday, Marty revealed he is back in the hospital at UPMC after he had “crazy, insane” pain in his throat.
Griffin had throat cancer a few years ago and but has been in remission.
He says late last week, he couldn’t swallow anything and that the pain was something he never felt in his life.
The only thing that Marty knows at this point is he has pneumonia.
Doctors are conducting tests to find the cause of his recent hospitalization.
One of the things that the doctors are looking for an infection or a “possible” return of the cancer he had, but that is just speculative at this point.
