Karns City quarterback Mason Martin has been fighting since the beginning of September in the hospital after he suffered a serious brain bleed during a high school football game.

After over five months of surgeries, rehabs, setback, encouraging signs and more, Martin continues to be in rehabilitation.

The thing is, he isn’t even 18 yet.

Denny Martin tells The Butler Eagle that his son turns 18 on Saturday.

He tells the newspaper that they’ve been focusing so much on the rehab part, that his son turning 18 has not “hit yet.”

Anyone who wants to wish Mason a happy birthday can sent a message through UPMC here. Select Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh when filling out the card.

Denny gave an update on his son earlier this week. It was encouraging.
