McKees Rocks has been turned into a television set for the day.
The Paramount+ show “Mayor of Kingstown”, starring Jeremy Renner, is currently filming in the area.
There is no parking in the following areas:
Helen Street from Agnes to Catherine Streets, Ella Street from Munson Avenue to Olivia Street, Olivia Street from Ella to Catherine Streets and Catherine Street from Olivia to Helen Streets.
The following locations will be CLOSED to through traffic from 4 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
Helen Street from Ella to Catherine Streets, Olivia Street from Ella To Catherine Streets and Chartiers, Keebler and George Alleys will all be closed to thru traffic for safety reasons.
Special effects crews will be using “propane poppers” and “prop glass” during the filming that will simulate explosions.
Residents may hear loud noises similar to firecrackers while filming.
McKees Rocks Police and Firefighters will be on site to assist with any issues.
“Mayor of Kingstown” starring Renner takes place in the fictional town of Kingstown, Michigan and is a crime drama.
Cast and crew are filming season 3.
