Filming dates are now set for the fifth and final season of the Paramount+ drama “Mayor of Kingstown,” and once again, Pittsburgh will take center stage.
Movie Casting Pittsburgh confirms filming for the show’s fifth and final season starts March 9 and will run through the summer months.
After a casting call for extras went out last week, the agency says it was flooded with responses.
Officials are reminding applicants that casting is ongoing, and they may be contacted at any point during production.
The Paramount+ drama, starring Jeremy Renner and Edie Falco, has become a familiar presence in western Pennsylvania, filming in communities like Millvale and McKeesport, as well as at landmarks such as the 16th Street Bridge.
The Pittsburgh Film Office reports the fourth season generated more than $95 million for the region.
