Out of an abundance of caution, the Pittsburgh Police Bomb Squad and Hazmat responded to Senator Dave McCormick's Downtown Pittsburgh office in the Grant Building for a suspicious letter that arrived with the mail/
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, the letter was received at approximately 1:30 p.m. and was reported to police much later.
There is no public safety threat at this time and no need for people to avoid the area.
Officials on the scene says no threat was found.
