A McKeesport Police officer was injured Wednesday evening responding to a priority call.
The police cruiser collided with a utility van a few minutes before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Walnut and 28th streets.
The McKeesport officer was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
The van driver was not injured.
McKeesport posted the following message on Facebook:
Mayor Maglicco and the City of McKeesport Police Department extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to the McKeesport community for your prayers and well wishes for our officer, who was injured in a vehicle accident while responding to a call on the afternoon of July 8. The officer's condition is now stable with non life-threatening injuries.
