There is a new Pittsburgh Police Officer on patrol around the city.
The K-9 Unit has added a new female bloodhound, Oakley.
Oakley is two-years-old and was donated and trained by Public Safety Dogs Inc. in North Carolina.
Pittsburgh Police say that her handler, Officer Kevin Merkel and Oakley have already been deployed twice.
Officer Merkel’s former partner, Cappy, died in March.
