Monessen couple accused of 'severely abusing' dogs

A couple in Monessen face charges, accused of “severely abusing several dogs” on multiple occasions going back to last year.

The Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against 27-year-old Douglas White and 26-year-old Mackinzie Orndoff after police executed a warrant this past weekend.

Police learned of the abuse after a neighbor turned over 50 videos that showed White abusing dogs multiple times, going back to December 2024.

Police seized three dogs at the Knox Avenue residence during the search and were taken to a local animal rescue for assessment and treatment.

Additionally, the bodies of two dead dogs were found buried in the yard.

White is charged with cruelty to animals, neglect of animals and drug possession. Orndoff is charged with neglect of vet care, drug possession and more.

Police found marijuana and other paraphernalia during a second search of the home.

Both White and Orndoff are in the Westmoreland County Prison after being unable to post the $500,000 bond.
