Another 2-3 inches of snow is expected to fall through tonight.
That's on top of the 6 inches reported this morning by the National Weather Service in Moon.
AccuWeather meteorologist Dean DeVore tells the NewsRadio KDKA morning show that that's right on target with the forecast of 8 to 12 inches:
"Whatever you got, another couple of inches around the city and near suburbs. As you head farther north, through the North Hills and up in the Allegheny plateau and over in the Laurel Highlands to the north and east, you're looking at probably another two to four inches".
He says if you don't have to go out, don't:
"Temperatures are going to be stuck where they are", he says, "and with the wind, real-feels are in the teens. It's going to be a day that if you can just kind of hunker down and just stay relaxed, you probably should. It'll still be in the 20's tonight with snow showers and then we'll ease out of the cold for a day or so before another blast of colder air comes our way for the end of the week".
