There have been no reported cases of someone contracting the virus since last October, only 1 in 5 people actually feel symptoms from the virus.

In the case of transmission look for symptoms such as fever, headache, and vomiting.

Most symptoms can go away within 3 to 6 days. For serious cases of illness seek help from a medical professional.

The health department suggests taking steps to protect themselves from mosquitoes like removing standing water in our yard and using bug spray.
