Mother: Grave site of Officer Michael Crawshaw vandalized

The mother of officer Michael Crawshaw, who was gunned down in 2009, unveiled some disturbing news that happened at the grave site of her late-son.

In a recent social media post, Linda Crawshaw expressed heartbreak over a theft at her son's gravesite.

“I try every day to keep faith in the goodness of humanity, but some days are very difficult,” she wrote.

Crawshaw says someone stole two blue police lights placed beside Michaels headstone, along with a Law Enforcement memorial medal.

Greg Dickey, Sales Manager at North Side Catholic Cemetery, confirmed he was made aware of the incident on Wednesday and called it a despicable act.

“It’s disgraceful, it’s disgusting, it’s the lowest form of life, to me that, there is, how somebody could do that to someone else’s grave,” said Dickey.”

Dickey says he is ready to help in any way he can.

Officer Crawshaw was ambushed while inside his police car on December 6, 2009 but a homicide suspect.

That suspect was convicted in 2013 on two counts of criminal homicide and sentenced to life in prison, without the possibility of parole.
