PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) – Pittsburgh Police were called to a Mt. Washington apartment after a male suspect stabbed another male.
The incident occurred in the 200 block of W. Warrington Avenue at 7:25 a.m. on Monday.
The victim had multiple stab wounds and was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
A neighbor who witnessed the altercation shot the suspect before he fled in a vehicle.
Police followed the suspect before abandoning the pursuit.
The suspect's car was spotted on Mt. Washington hours later and police were able to stop the car by initiating a traffic stop.
The male driving the car had gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital in stable condition. After medically cleared, he was arrested and taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
