NBC News reports the tech mogul had a phone chat with Governor Josh Shapiro.
Three people familiar with the conversation say Musk told Shapiro he wants to invest in the Pittsburgh area.
Musk, who appeared Saturday at the Trump rally in Butler, expressed interest in expanding his factories to the region.
