A brand-new restaurant just opened in Carnegie Wednesday.
Lucatino Italian Taverna opened its doors at 106 East Main Street in Carnegie after months of planning by owner Rico Lunardi and his crew.
Lunardi is also the owner of the pizzeria right next door, “Slice on Broadway”.
Lucatino offers different flavored focaccia breads, meatballs, mussels, fried hot peppers, zucchini, calamari, salads, specialty pizzas, sandwiches, pasta and more.
“A lot of work went into this one and I’m really proud of how it came together.” Said Lunardi.
“Focaccia, pasta, and a new style of pizza for Pittsburgh, Tonda Romana. Thin, crisp, simple, and done right.”
Lucatino is open Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. – 9 p.m.
