Cannon McMillan school district is one of two area schools implementing a new safety mechanism.
Superintendent Dr. Greg Taranto, says when he was presented with the CENTEGIX CrisisAlert system he decided it was best for the district.
It’s a device the size of an ID badge and features a button, that if pressed quickly, can alert administrators and 911 to an emergency.
“It’s been a nice sense of relief for the staff to have that one hand and on them no matter where they’re at in Canon McMillan and any of our school buildings,” said Dr.
Taranto.
This new system is also being used in the Plum School District.
