Sandcastle water park will debut a brand new water slide next summer, and it’s not for the faint of heart.

Bombs Away will be a 305-foot long freefalling water slide that will have riders step into an enclosed area “when, without warning, the floor be floor beneath their feet abruptly vanishes and drops them down into a twisting, turning loop through a closed-tube fly-by down six stories at speeds up to 26 feet per second,” Sandcastle said in a release.
“Guests have been waiting to blast off on Bombs Away and Sandcastle’s newest attraction is perfect for all water park thrill-seekers,” says Kennywood and Sandcastle General Manager Mark Pauls. “This drop is over the top, and riders will love looping around and around to the splash down.”
Bombs Away is the main focus of Sandcastle’s “ultimate Steel City Summer” with more details expected in the coming months.
