A new Sheetz location opens this week right at the intersection of University Boulevard and Route 51.
The Sheetz at 4875 University Boulevard will officially open on Thursday, August 15 at 8 a.m.
A grand opening is planned outside the store at 9 a.m. Free self-serve coffee and soda will be available all day during the opening.
Multiple prizes will be given away during the opening, including a grand prize of “free Sheetz for a Year”.
Two donations of $2,500 will be given to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Special Olympics of Pennsylvania to celebrate the opening.
It will be the second Sheetz location on University Blvd.
The other one is on the opposite side, near the Airport.
Sheetz operates over 740 stores in Pennsylvania and five other states.
