For 20th time in 21 years, no increase in property taxes in Allegheny County budget

The 2022 budget was presented to Allegheny County Council last night, with no increase in property taxes for the 20th time in 21 years.

County Executive Rich Fitzgerald says the budget of just over $990 million is up about 3% from 2020.

He says federal pandemic funds replaced lost revenue.

Council will hold hearings next.
