Help is needed at a local animal shelter after flooding.
The Orphans of the Storm (No Kill Animal Shelter) in Kittanning is asking for help and a looking for supplies.
The shelter says that all of the animals are safe but they need help cleaning up sewage and other debris.
In addition to cleaning, volunteers are asked to help walk dogs and calm animals down.
If you are unable to volunteer but can still help, you can drop off things like laundry and dish soap, other cleaning supplies like bleach and towels and clay cat litter.
They are also accepting gift cars for Tractor Supply, Walmart and PetSmart.
Orphans of the Storm is located at 11878 Route 85 in Kittanning.
