After 20 years, British Airways announced on Monday the return of its nonstop service from Pittsburgh International Airport to London Heathrow Airport.
The flight will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays departing London Heathrow Airport at 4:40 p.m. and landing in Pittsburgh at 7:50 p.m. Its return flight will leave Pittsburgh International Airport at 9:50 p.m. and arrive in London at 10:10 a.m. the following day.
"We cannot wait to bring back our Pittsburgh route next summer," Marie Hilditch, British Airways' Head of North America Sales said. "Today's announcement is an exciting moment for customers wanting to plan ahead next year – to take a much-needed holiday or visit family and friends after a long time apart."
British Airways' newest aircraft, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner will be used to travel back-and-forth from London to Pittsburgh. It features 214 seats, and includes three classes.
Travelers are able to purchase tickets beginning Monday at ba.com.
The new nonstop service will resume on June 3, 2022.
