A North Huntingdon police cruiser was rammed during a pursuit over the weekend.
Police say a fleeing suspect rammed the vehicle head on as an officer was trying to stop a stolen Hyundai Elantra.
The chase started around 3:45 a.m. Saturday when an officer noticed the Elantra being driven with the headlights off.
39-year-old Julian Johnson is accused of making an illegal U-turn on Route 30, hitting the cruiser and heading for Allegheny County at speeds as high as 90 miles per hour.
Police say Johnson veered into oncoming traffic and drove several miles in the wrong direction until he bailed out on Coal Street in Wilkinsburg.
Officers seized drugs, cash and a gun they say Johnson was throwing during the foot chase.
Johnson, who had two warrants, is facing numerous charges and is being held at the Westmoreland County Prison without bail.
A preliminary hearing is set for next week.
