A violent attack at a local gas station this week, and police say it was all over a cigarette.
Pittsburgh Police say it happened around 4 a.m. Tuesday at the Sunoco gas station on Cedar Avenue on the North Side.
Police say Josh Mascara asked David Rose for a cigarette, and Rose then told Mascara “No” and to “get a job.”
That's when it turned violent with Mascara allegedly throwing rocks at Rose and then, according to investigators, Rose hit Mascara with a baseball bat about 20 times.
Rose is facing aggravated and simple assault charge as well as disorderly conduct.
