A North Versailles man is facing multiple criminal charges, including statutory sexual assault and seven additional counts.
The charges follow a Westmoreland County State Police investigation initiated in July after a relative discovered inappropriate message on a victim's cellphone.
Pennsylvania State police report that Yupangui Castro allegedly exchanged sexually explicit photos with a 14-year-old victim whom he initially met on Instagram and later encountered at a party.
Investigators allege the two engaged in sexual activity at least twice, and one of the acts was recorded on a cellphone.
Castro has been denied bail.
