Nursing homes across the state are being told to prepare for an increase in RSV cases.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health has warned that the respiratory illness season is approaching, with long-term care facilities being particularly susceptible to rapid virus transmission.
The Health Department is urging all nursing homes and care facilities to thoroughly assess and revise their infection prevention and control procedures.
