A local bridge that's gotten a lot of publicity lately will be the subject of a meeting in Shadyside Thursday night.

The South Negley Avenue Bridge is rated in poor condition.
By now, you've probably seen the photos, the South Negley Avenue Bridge, seemingly being supported by small wooden posts. The Shadyside Action Coalition will meet Thursday night to discuss a project to improve the bridge.
“We’re providing an update on the current condition of the bridge after the last inspection. The timing on possible rehabilitation and the factors that go into that [will be discussed],” said Councilwoman Erika Strassburger.
She says the posts will be one of the factors discussed surrounding the improvement project.
The Department of Mobility and Infrastructure already got the ball rolling on the project with legislation and funding.
