One person died after an accident on the Parkway East Friday morning.
A car went off the highway near the Squirrel Hill Tunnel into a creek near Commercial Street after 8 a.m.
The vehicle landed in the water, upright.
State Police and other crews responded to the scene and are investigating.
The outbound side of the Parkway was reduced to one-lane of traffic at the Squirrel Hill Tunnel but reopened around 10:45.
There are still residuals delays so you can take the Alternative route:
Exit at the eastbound/outbound Parkway at Forbes Avenue and go up through Oakland. Although traffic is heavy in that area as well.
