One person was killed following a fire at an apartment building in Wilkinsburg in the 2400 block of Laketon Road around noon Monday afternoon
A spokesperson for Allegheny County Emergency Services confirmed there was a fatality.
Pittsburgh Fire, Eastern Area EMS other first responders and Wilkinsburg Police assisted.
The Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire says the third-alarm fire as contained to a single apartment on the fourth floor and was under control around 1 p.m.
The Allegheny County Fire Marshall is investigating and County Police were requested by the fire marshal.
