A woman is dead and 18 people have been forced out of their homes following an overnight apartment building fire in Westmoreland County.
The flames broke out around 1:30 a.m. in the structure on Dornin Street in Greensburg.
The Tribune-Review reports a tenant noticed heavy black smoke in the basement.
Firefighters knocked the flames down quickly and found the woman who died sitting on a couch.
No word yet on her identity.
