A person accused of causing a scene and being disruptive during the annual furry event, Anthrocon last weekend in Pittsburgh has been banned from future functions.
The unnamed person was in a suit called “Crusader Cat” which features a bowl-type haircut and has been photographed in the past with a parody of a Nazi armband. The swastika is replaced with a black paw in those pictures.
According to multiple reports, Crusader Cat has been known to make threats in the past and has been banned from other events.
It’s not known what Crusader Cat did specifically at this past weekend’s Anthrocon, but the organizers made an exception to their policy of not discussing bans to make this one public.
Part of Anthrocon's statement reads:
“Anthrocon strives to be a positive and supportive member of our furry community. Anthrocon staff and venue partners want to thank everyone for their patience and information as we endeavor to host the best furry events that we possibly can.”
Anthrocon 2026 is already planned for next year July 2-5. The theme for next year is “Critters, Cryptids & Curses.”
