One man dead after traffic accident on Route 51

A West Mifflin man is dead following a traffic accident last night on Route 51 near Brentwood Towne Square.

A motorcycle and BMW coupe collided before 8 p.m. closing Rt. 51 in that area while police investigated the fatal crash.

The Medical Examiner's office says 20-year-old Chase Cyphers died about 30 minutes after the crash.

Route 51 was reopened a few minutes before midnight.
