A man was killed and a woman was injured when a home in Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar caught fire overnight.
Fire crews called after 2 a.m. to the 6600 block of Apple Street arrived to find all three floors of the building engulfed in flames.
They were told a man was trapped inside.
Firefighters got him out through a window, but he died at the scene.
The woman was taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation and was last listed in stable condition.
Investigators are now looking into the cause of the fatal blaze and believe it started near the front of the residence on the ground floor.
